Terms and Conditions of entry to the Homemade TV Commercial Competition, (“the TV Commercial Competition”) and the Like Aldi Prize Draw ("the Like Aldi Draw").(together “the Competitions”).

This page (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you the contractual terms on which you may enter the Competitions.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before you enter any of the Competitions and tick the box at the end of the Terms and Conditions to confirm that you agree to abide by them.

  1. Information About Us

    • Likealdi.co.uk is a site operated by Aldi Stores Limited ("Aldi"). Aldi are registered in England and Wales under company number 02321869 and has its registered office at Holly Lane, Atherstone, Warwickshire, CV9 2SQ. Our VAT number is GB813053468. Aldi is a limited company.

  2. TV Advert ideas Competition Rules

    • Entry to the TV Commercial Competition is restricted to entrants of 18 years or over residing within the UK, who are British citizens or nationals of a Member State of the EU.. To enter the TV Commercial Competition simply visit likealdi.co.uk and follow the onscreen instructions. No purchase is necessary and entrants may make as many entries to the TV Commercial Competition as they wish.

    • In the case of entry via likealdi.co.uk no responsibility or liability will be accepted by Aldi for entries which are not received or are lost in transmission for any reason. Proof of sending or transmission will not be accepted as proof of entry. Corrupted, damaged, unintelligible, inaudible or incomplete entries will be invalid.

    • The closing date for entering the TV Commercial Competition is 12.00am on the 8th Dec 2013. The five winners of the £100 shopping voucher prizes will be decided following the vote count on the 9th December 2013. Winners will be notified via email by 12:00pm on the 9th December 2013.

    • Within 2 weeks of announcement each winner will be issued with 1 x £100 booklets each containing 10 x £10 vouchers. Each voucher can only be used in full and no change will be given. Vouchers will only be valid in one Aldi store, specified by the winner, and will be countersigned by Aldi store staff and the TV Commercial Competition winner. Any vouchers removed from the booklet, defaced or pre-signed will be invalid. Aldi reserves the right to refuse vouchers if there is any suspicion of fraudulent use. All vouchers must be used within 6 weeks of the date of issue.

    • If the winner of the TV Commercial Competition is unable to take up a prize for any reason or in the event that a winner cannot be contacted by Aldi within 28 days Aldi reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner, in which case the first winner chosen will not be eligible for any share of the prize whatsoever.

    • You consent to and agree that Aldi shall be entitled to use your name, photograph and fair likeness in respect of the promotion and advertising of the TV Commercial Uploads.

    • Unless specifically stated otherwise, prizes are not transferable and no cash alternative to prizes will be offered.

    • Failure to comply with any of the TV Commercial Upload Rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. Judges reserve the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.

    • Judges decisions are final in all matters concerning the TV Commercial Competition.

    • In the event of an error of any nature howsoever caused and whether obvious or otherwise which affects the TV Commercial Competition in any way, Judges reserve the right to administer the TV Commercial Competition as though the error had not occurred. Where deemed appropriate and/or feasible Aldi will notify entrants of the error and correct it either through the website or through any other suitable medium.

    • Employees of Aldi, their agents or their families may not enter the TV Commercial Competition.

    • If you include any copyrighted material in your video you must have the permission of the copyright owner to use that material. If your video includes copyrighted material we may choose not to publish it.

  3. Like Aldi Draw Rules

    • Entry to the Like Aldi Draw is restricted to entrants of 18 years or over residing within the UK who are British citizens or nationals of a Member State of the EU. To enter the Like Aldi Draw simply visit likealdi.co.uk and follow the onscreen instructions, alternatively send a sealed down envelope/postcard detailing the Aldi product you like the most and your relevant contact details to Like Aldi Competition, PO Box 617, Macclesfield SK10 9JH. No purchase is necessary and entrants may make as many entries to the Like Aldi Draw as they wish.

    • Where postal entries are submitted only those carrying correct postage will be accepted and they must arrive no later than first post on the published closing date for the Like Aldi Draw. Entries received after this time and entries delivered by hand will not be accepted. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery and Aldi accepts no responsibility or liability for entries lost, delayed or mislaid.

    • In the case of entry via likealdi.co.uk no responsibility or liability will be accepted by Aldi for entries which are not received or are lost in transmission for any reason. Proof of sending or transmission will not be accepted as proof of entry. Corrupted, damaged, unintelligible, inaudible or incomplete entries will be invalid.

    • The Like Aldi Draw commences Wednesday 9th May 2012 and the closing time and date for each months Like Aldi Draw is 11.59pm on the 8th day of each month. The final draw will take place on 8th May 2013. The five £50 winners will be drawn randomly on the following day (or closest working day).

    • Each month the five winners will be selected from the total entries submitted by a panel of judges after the Like Aldi Draw closes. Winners will be notified via email or post dependent upon the entry method. The decision of the judges is final.

    • Within 2 weeks of announcement each winner will be issued with a £50 booklet containing 5 x £10 vouchers. Each voucher can only be used in full and no change will be given. Vouchers will only be valid in one Aldi store, specified by the winner, and will be countersigned by Aldi store staff and the Like Aldi Draw winner. Any vouchers removed from the booklet, defaced or pre-signed will be invalid. Aldi reserves the right to refuse vouchers if there is any suspicion of fraudulent use.   4. General

    1. Intellectual Property

      • You confirm that the TV commercial submitted under the TV Commercial Competition Rules (“the TV Commercial”)has been written, directed and produced (if applicable) by you alone and agree to assign to Aldi all present and future copyright and any other rights in all media throughout the world in the Commercial and all other material created for the TV Commercial or the full period of copyright including but not limited to photographs, films, sound recordings and scripts.

      • You agree in respect of the TV Commercial and any other contributions in sound, text or vision to waive all moral rights to which you may be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world and you confirm that the Commercial does not and will not in the future infringe the copyright or any other right of any third party.

      • You unconditionally and irrevocably consent for the purposes of the Competition to Aldi's use of the Commercial in relation to your contributions as a performer or howsoever.

      • You agree that Aldi may alter, adapt or edit the Commercial or any other contribution by you and exploit it in any form or medium at any time anywhere in the world entirely at Aldi's sole discretion and you confirm that any third party performer in the Commercial has consented in writing to Aldi's use and exploitation of the Commercial in any form or medium at any time anywhere in the world entirely at Aldi's sole discretion.

      • You acknowledge that no payment shall be due to you now or in the future in respect of the Commercial or in respect of your contributions other than the prize provided for in the Competition if you are successful.

    2. Entire Agreement

      These Terms and Conditions, together with Aldi's privacy policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Aldi in relation to your entry to Competitions, and supersede all previous agreements in respect of the Competitions.

    3. Applicable Law

      These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and any disputes relating to these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

    4. Please note that the ‘Rate our Products’ and ‘TV Script’ competitions closed on the 17th December 2012
